Oktoberfest celebrations in South Florida

It’s that time of year when slugging obscene amounts of beer in public is perfectly acceptable and outrageously amusing. Two of the largest and most renowned in South Florida have plans well under way for their annual festivities. Today the celebration begins in Fort lauderdale and next weekend the party moves to Palm Beach County for the 38th Annual Oktoberfest hosted by none other than the American German Club of Lake Worth.

OaklandPark Main Street’s 7th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration takes place this weekend beginning tonight, Friday, September 30 from 5 to 11 p.m. and plays out all day tomorrow Saturday, October 1 from 1 to 11 p.m. The “Bavarian Village” will be set up in downtown Jaco Pastorius Park, 4000 North Dixie Highway (just north of NE 38th Street) between Commercial and Oakland Park Boulevards in Oakland Park. Free Parking.

The 38th Annual Oktoberfest at the American German Club in Lake Worth will take place over two consecutive weekends, October 7th – 9th and October 14th – 16th at 5111 Lantana Road, Lantana, FL 33463. Admission: Adults $7, Children under 12 with paying Adult is admitted Free. Parking is free and preferred parking available for $10.Hours:
Friday, October 7, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Saturday, October 8, from noon to 11:00 pm
Sunday, October 9, from noon to 8:00 pm
Friday, October 14, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Saturday, October 15, from noon to 11:00 pm
Sunday, October 16, from noon to 8:00 pm
