12th annual underwater Easter Egg hunt in Key Largo

And what are you doing on Easter Sunday morning? Here’s one unique suggestion, why not try an underwater Easter Egg Hunt in Key Largo? Earlier this week Captain Spencer Slate of Atlantis Dive Center in Key Largo suited up bunny-style with dive gear to hide Easter eggs in a shallow reef; real eggs and nontoxic colorings are used to avoid any negative environmental impact. On Easter Sunday, Easter Egg hunters will play an underwater game of hide and seek and are awarded prizes, including one for the most fortunate finder of the “Golden Egg.” The boats will head out to a secret location on one of the Keys’ pristine shallow reefs, where the colored egg bounty hunters will take the plunge for the hard-boiled finds. This popular and favorite aqua activity is an annual fundraiser for Kids In Special Situations, which provides gifts and holiday cheer to the area’s needy children. The dive will take place this Sunday, April 8, 2012. Divers and snorkelers check in at 8 a.m. and the boats will leave the dock at 8:30 a.m. Charter fees are priced at $85 per Certified Diver, including tanks and weights. Snorkelers fees are $30 for Adults, $20 for Children prices includes gear. For reservations and more information call: 305-451-3020 or 800-331-3483. 51 Garden Cove Drive, Key Largo FL 33037
