A pictorial (first) peek at Rebel House Boca Raton

From the talent behind Charm City Burger and El Jefe Luchador comes a whole new dynamic concept that undoubtedly will shake Boca Raton upside down and inside out……Rebel House, the name says it all; located at 299 East Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton. Rebel House is nothing, absolutely nothing that Boca has ever seen in its pristine little city. The Rebel House is here to shake up and wake up this sleepy little town, and from the first peek, it’s going to do just that and more…..

Anger Management. Just. Order. It.

When seated and greeted, instead of bread, guests are served the housemade flavored popcorn of the day.
The start of something new, no bread in Boca.
(I can’t wait to hear the reaction over this!)

The rebel rousing shake up has begun. For all those restaurants playing it safe by serving pasta and meatloaf watch out, the Rebel House is going to sway diners with dishes that are bursting with flavors and combinations you haven’t even thought of; such as the Citrus Watermelon Salad with feta cheese, soft baby spinach and crispy shallots along with the Crispy Brussels Sprouts with lemon confit, cubanelle peppers, rosemary and balsamic saba. Rock Shrimp Tacos have been adapted from the sister location El Jefe Luchador and the Mussel Pot is brimming with the elongated shellfish bathing in a broth of old bay, bacon, corn, tomato and lemon. If vegetables are the way to go for you, the Grilled Baby Bok Choy with miso caramel, garlic krispys and blue cheese crumble is a texture/flavor kaleidoscopic sure to thrill your veggie palate. All of the items on the menu are ideal for sharing. Menu prices begin at $4 for starters called “Munchies” and range to $38; which is the highest priced item on the menu for the Wagyu Rib Eye Cap. Most of the menu items sit in the $7-$15 price range making this all the more enticing and exciting for Boca Raton diners and food lovers who have been waiting for The Rebel House to open.

Grilled Shrimp ($12/$20) Rebel House, Boca Raton

The Grilled Shrimp in a Garlic Bread Bowl: The scampi butter sauce is absolute perfection; I’ve tasted nothing remotely close to date; I almost wished for a plate of linguine, instead I asked for a straw.

Pork Belly Tator Tots ($9) Rebel House, Boca Raton

Pork Belly Tator-Tots:  Look out Ore-Ida, there’s a new game in town, and it’s not full of carbs…but rather                       porky fried goodness.

Citrus Watermelon Salad ($8)  Rebel House Boca Raton

I’m not one for sweet and savory. At all. I don’t like the combination, but this was one very well balanced, flavorful dish.

Calamari Fries ($8)  Rebel House Boca Raton

Calamari Fries: We all laughed at our table,  it tastes like chicken. A definite winner for the kids.

I so can’t wait for the snowbirds to come back and see this!

Take a good long look at this wine key.

The Rebel House is edgy, fun and exactly what little BocaLand needs ( I can say that, I’ve live here for 20+ years). With the successful history of  sister restaurants Charm City Burgers and El Jefe Luchador, Rebel House is a sure fire win. All the elements of  success are in place. If you’re a food fan, you’ll appreciate the Rebel House, they’re doing a lot of things right and they’re not even open yet. The staff is well versed in the menu, pleasant and efficient. The bartenders are gregarious and talented. Rebel House will be open for dinner only throughout the summer and will open for lunch and brunch come season. The restaurant should be open to the public by this weekend, for dates and times call 561-431-3373  Rebel House on Urbanspoon
