Father’s Day in South Florida and beyond

Father’s Hand, photo credit: dsgnmom blog

It’s official, every holiday is now fair game for every restaurant, bar, lounge and hotel. Not that is wasn’t in the past but some holidays just seemed to stake a natural claim on the 11am brunch, the 2pm dinner and the 8pm supper. The shift this year has come by way of Father’s Day and I have to say that the dear old Dad specials are giving Easter, Mother’s Day and New Years Eve a run for their holiday place setting. The Father’s Day pitches have been coming in fast and furious, you’d think we were at Marlins Park; which by the way the Miami Marlins are playing the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa (St. Petersburg) at Tropicana Field on Father’s Day at 1:40pm, (should you want to get away). Just like all the other holidays there are brunch, lunch, dinner and drink specials all over South Florida for Father’s Day; I’ve decided to put together an interesting list of things to do with and for Dad this weekend that includes more than just a multi-course dinner.

Sporting it out of town:
