The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach resides in the historic DiLido Hotel, after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation The Ritz Carlton opened its doors in 2003 almost 50 years after the landmark hotel opened on the corner of trendy Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue.

Ritz Carlton South Beach Lobby

Not your typical South Beach hotel, the $200 million restoration preserved the building’s exterior curves, and sweeping lines while adding accents of the Art Moderne/Miami Modern (“MiMo”) design that conveys a stylish and modern interpretation of luxury. Many of the original DiLido Hotel interior features have been preserved, including black terrazzo floors and a grand lobby staircase. The signature curved “Wall of Lights” at the hotel’s entrance shines of polished cherry wood with 72 domed sconces. Mirroring the glamour and elegance of the 1950’s with an updated weave of design, the lobby and public space merges the two time periods together. A multi-million dollar art collection, on loan from Diana Lowenstein Fine Art, features works by more than a dozen Latin American and European artists who have created modern works inspired by the Art Moderne era.
