Lori Devin, Thursday, October 11, 7:30 pm – 10 pm – “White Out the Night” Grand Finale in Huizenga Park.

Cheers for Charity Las Olas is a new food & beverage festival that will benefit six local children’s charities:  Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, Children’s Home Society, Jack and Jill Children’s Center, Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Center, Junior Achievement of South Florida and Sun Sentinel Children’s Fund. This inaugural “Corks, Cocktails and Collaboration,”  includes an exciting lineup of over twenty Las Olas restaurants, vintners from around the world, plentiful pours of wine and cocktails and finishes off with the “white” hot world-wide dining trend “Diner en Blanc” with an expected 500 guests dining al fresco at one long table in Huizenga Park. The five-day event uncorks on October 7 with nightly themed tastings and food pairing events benefiting a different charity.

We announced above, the winners for the ticket giveaway, each received two (2) tickets to one of the six (6) Cheers for Charity Las Olas events. To enter, the contestants had to “like” the Cheers for Charity Las Olas Facebook page and submit below what their favorite participating restaurant in Cheers for Charity Las Olas is and why. All qualified submissions were entered into a random drawing. There will be six (6) winners; each receiving two (2) tickets to the said event their name is drawn for. You cannot request your name to be drawn for a specific event. Names will be drawn in a general random pick. We will draw the winning names on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Winners will be notified by email. The tickets we are giving away, are to the following events:

Sunday, October 7 – 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Sushi and Sake at The Riverside Hotel. Benefitting the Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Center. Tickets are $125. Kick-off the week or end your weekend, depending how you look at it, with sushi and sake pairings.

Monday, October 8 -5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Gems Tasting at The Riverside Hotel. Benefitting Junior Achievement South Florida. Tickets are $125. Enjoy wine tastings from Beckstoffer, Husic Vineyards, Bodega Rancho, Alexana Family Winery Winery, Sodaro Estate Winery, Gamble Family Vineyards, St Helena Winery and Blue Rock Vineyards.

Tuesday, October 9 – 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Mixology Madness at The Riverside Hotel. Benefitting Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center. Tickets are $125. Learn from talented “Mixologists” how to shake and stir your favorite cocktails from Absolut, Avion Tequilla, Chivas Regal, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Malibu Rum.

Wednesday, October 10 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Bubblicious at The Riverside Hotel. Benefitting Sun Sentinel Children’s Fund. Tickets are $125. Uncork the bubbles and learn how to pair champagne and sparkling wines from around the world with your favorite foods.

Thursday, October 11 5:30 pm – 8 pm – Wine Tasting in Center Court, Huizenga Park. Benefitting Children’s Home Society. $75. Mix and mingle at the hottest wine tasting party of the year all outdoors in spectacular setting along the water in Huizenga Park.

Thursday, October 11, 7:30 pm – 10 pm – “White Out the Night” Grand Finale. Huizenga Park. Benefitting Jack and Jill Children’s Center. Tickets $125. Dress is all white at the world’s largest dining table event. This three course dinner will be served by various Las Olas restaurants and includes wine and cocktails. To date the participating Las Olas restaurants in “Diner en Blanc” include American Social, Café Europa, Café de Paris, Las Olas Wine Café, Mangos, Noodles Panini, Riverside Hotel, SoLita, St Tropez, Timpano, Vibe and Yolo, Rocco’s Tacos.

And now the rules of the game…You can only submit your name and favorite restaurant one (1) time.

    • The use of automated devices for name submission is not permitted and will result in being disqualified from the giveaway.
    • Tickets are not redeemable for cash.
    • The winner has 24 hours to respond to the winning notification email, failure to respond within the 24-hour time frame the winner automatically forfeits his/her win and another name will be randomly drawn.
