Cooking Classes and Wine Courses in South Florida

 

South Florida Chefs, their talents and their styles vary as do the foods they prepare. I’ve compiled a list of some of the ‘hottest’ kitchens in South Florida where you can learn the basics from knife skills to Thai food preparation, to preparing holiday food buffets to food and wine pairings, the opportunities and topics are endless so why not take a class everywhere and discover your inner Chef! Not all venues run weekly programs so check their websites for current updates.

For those seeking an introductory course in wine, Florida International University offers a Level I wine course; a 13-week program that introduces participants to the practical world of wine. Upon completion of this course participants will be to identify and evaluate wine in a blind tasting format; Become familiar with well-known wine regions of the world; Learn the fundamentals of wine and food pairings; Purchase, store and serve wine properly and sell wine in an on-premise (restaurant) scenario.
