Wine Dinners & Pairings in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach

Quintessa is a red meritage wine bearing the same name as the vineyard from which it is made.  Quintessa is a blend that can include some or all of the five varietals grown on the estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere, the wine is masterfully crafted under the skillful design of winemaker Charles Thomas.  The vineyard’s diversity provides wide stylistic options for the wine, of which Thomas takes full advantage of. Quintessa is part of the Huneeus Vintners ensemble; Master Sommelier, Larry Stone is the Estates Director for Huneeus Vintners and will be hosting a Quintessa wine dinner at the August Cellar 1954 Wine & Dinner Series by FONTAINEBLEAU at Gotham Steak on August 22, 7:30pm. Casa Vinicola Zonin USA will host Miami’s Wok Star, Eleanor Hoh at their penthouse loft for a series of three Art of Wok cooking demonstrations that will pair Italian wines with Asian cuisine. On August 21, October 23, and December 18 from 6:30-9:30pm, Hoh will demonstrate her signature no-recipe approach, combining fresh ingredients and only 4 seasonings to create dishes that are simple and healthy. On August 22 and 23, 80 Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations will celebrate their New Orleans heritage with a five-course “Hand-Crafted Cocktail” dinner. Pricing for the “Hand-Crafted Cocktail” dinner varies by market with an average price of $85 per person. STEAK 954 at the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale is hosting its second War of the Wines, and the battle rages on with Spain vs. Italy. This wine war will take place on Thursday, August 29 from 7-10pm.
