Don Julio Tequila Dinner at 50 Ocean Delray Beach

Blake Malatesta, executive chef of the casually elegant oceanfront restaurant 50 Ocean in Delray Beach has created an exciting lineup of Pairing Dinners hosted monthly from September through December. Each Pairing Dinner will feature multiple courses of Malatesta’s own inspired menu designed specifically to enhance the guest’s appreciation and enjoyment food and beverage pairings. Malatesta’s Pairing Dinners will take guests on a journey of the senses as he skillfully orchestrates the art of pairing food and drink.

The first Pairing Dinner in the line up is a Don Julio Tequila Dinner on September 24 at 6:00 p.m. The cost of the four course pairing is $59 per person that includes complimentary valet parking & admission to Blue Tuesday at Boston’s on the Beach following dinner featuring Famous Frank Ward and special guests Little Mike and the Tornadoes. Reservations for the tequila dinner are required and can be made by calling 561-278-3364. 50 Ocean is located at 50 South Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach above Boston’s on the Beach. The pairing menu for the evening is:

Scallop

saffron poached, black barley, pineapple fizz, crunchy avocado

paired with ~ Julios Pineapple Beerita

Wahoo

locally caught, “dismantled gazpacho,” charred lime, jalapeño syrup

paired with ~ Anejo Spicy Margarita

Quail

cornbread stuffed, chorizo vinaigrette, roasted pepper polenta

paired with ~ Macho Amansado

Churros

raspberry jam

paired with ~ 1942 Chocolate Cappuccino

October 15 is Cigar City Craft Beer

October 29 is Jack Daniels

November 19 is Majestic Wines
