Thursday, September 26, Sktchy, co-creator Jordan Melnick launches his Sktchy app at a launch party 8 p.m. at LAB Miami, 400 NW 26th Street. Sktchy is an iPhone app that allows people to use their smartphones to share ink-and-paper artwork. Local artists will sketch portraits, non-artists can sketch, too, free art supplies will be provided. Free Estrella Damm beer will be served and Ms. Cheezious food truck will be parked grilling up her famous cheese sandwiches.
Friday, September 27, Cluck Miami has rounded up local chefs to battle it out the best Fried Chicken. This chicken Champagne and cocktail event benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities. Attendees are able to cast their vote for their favorite fried chicken at Cluck Miami. Tickets are $85 online and $100 at the door. Click here to purchase tickets. Friday September 27, The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) hosts free outdoor concerts (rain or shine) held the last Friday of every month at 8 pm. Pablo Gil Jazz Saxophonist preforms. The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) galleries are open by donation from 7-10 pm. The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami is a collecting museum located in the heart of downtown North Miami, Florida. Saturday, September 28, FREE admission to local museums for Smithsonian Museum Day this Saturday. This annual event, involving hundreds of museums across the country, is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here to view the list of South Florida museums participating from Palm Beach to Key West.
