During the month of September, Feeding South Florida™ is presenting a variety of events and activities to encourage South Floridians to help end hunger and spread the word about the pervasiveness of hunger in South Florida. 30 Ways in 30 Days is an initiative for individuals and corporations to participate in doing their part to end hunger throughout September. Delray Beach

Boston’s LOBSTER LUNACY is back! Buy one lobster and get the second for just $1 throughout the month of September. Boston’s on the Beach is a “home away from home” for many New England expats as well as those with adopted Boston spirit. Blake Malatesta, executive chef of the oceanfront restaurant 50 Ocean in Delray Beach has created an exciting lineup of Pairing Dinners hosted monthly from September through December. Each Pairing Dinner focuses on the art of pairing food and drink. Don Julio Tequila Dinner is scheduled for September 24 at 6:00 p.m. The cost of the four course pairing is $59 per person that includes complimentary valet parking & admission to Blue Tuesday at Boston’s on the Beach following dinner featuring Famous Frank Ward and special guests Little Mike and the Tornadoes. Reservations for the tequila dinner are required and can be made by calling 561-278-3364. 50 Ocean is located at 50 South Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach above Boston’s on the Beach.

 

Miami

“Beauty & Breasts”, a charitable event that will be held at Trio on the Bay Miami, is designed to educate and present the latest options for preserving and enhancing Beauty and Breasts for everyone. The event will be held on September 12, 2013. The educational program will feature surgeons and Deede Weithorn, Miami Beach City Commissioner and Cancer Survivor, a boutique wine tasting with Chateau Chante’ international wines, and dinner.  The proceeds from the event will be donated to Chante Jarlen Medical Expenses and the League Against Cancer. The wine tasting reception is from 6-7pm with dinner immediately following. Chef Howie Kleinberg of Bulldog Barbecue is hosting his second pop-up dinner on Monday, September 9. The theme is Latin BBQ and features Chef Ted Mendez of Grove Isle. The dinner is served family-style beginning at 6pm, cost is $50 per person; reservations can be made by calling 305.940.9655. EL MAIN EVENTO is back celebrating Mexican Independence Day with Mariachis, Margaritas, a Burrito Eating Contest and Lucha Libre, [Wrestling in a Ring].  Admission is FREE.
