Wente Vineyards

Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the country’s oldest continuously operated family-owned winery. Today the winery maintains its leadership role in California winegrowing under the ownership and management of the fourth and fifth generations of the Wente family, marketing their wines in more than 70 countries. Blending traditional and innovative winemaking practices, the winery draws from approximately 3,000 acres of certified sustainable estate vineyards in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay and Arroyo Seco, Monterey appellations to create an outstanding portfolio of wines. The Wente family helped create the now-historic Livermore Valley wine growing region, just east of San Francisco Bay, and played a key role in the development of Monterey as a premium winegrowing region. Wente Vineyards in Livermore is internationally recognized as a leader in wine country tourism, featuring wine tasting, education, fine dining, concerts and championship golf.
