Product Finds: Gourmet Foods

As part of my Chefs Panel & Brunch event at the Delray Beach Wine and Seafood Festival on November 9th, each attendee will receive a gift bag. I channeled my inner Oprah wanting to give the attendees a gift bag they’d talk about, and brag on so much that it would make their friends jealous that they didn’t get one. I’m not giving away cars or trips to Australia but having worked tirelessly finding the right products to share and I have to say, now that it’s all coming together, in all modesty, I’m rather impressed….and the recipients will be too.

Two items have been on my radar for some time, and I’m delighted to share them with you, others I discovered by research, meeting the owners, makers, bakers, and distributors. I’m happy with the quality of each of the products, all representing the top level in their gourmet food category. And to keep things exciting, I’ve also got a couple of non-food surprises thrown in for good measure.

The products compliment each other; the tasting experience of sampling the products together highlight each of the products finer points, for example, a cup of White Lion Tea with a plate of BettaSnax biscotti chips; or simply enjoy each product on its own.

So let me brag on my finds,

White Lion Tea is a boutique food, beverage and bath products company that has grown from the simple concept of incorporating affordable luxuries into everyday life. White Lion Tea has become an established luxury brand offering an assortment of high quality, whole leaf, hand-harvested teas, as well as Honey Pearls®, Bath Pearls®, Spa Ciao®, and other gifts and amenities, packaged to appeal to consumers.

Columbus Salumeria Inspired in Italy. Founded in San Francisco. Columbus Salame is one of the most respected producers of fine foods in the country. In addition to authentic, 100% pork salame, Columbus manufactures premium-quality deli meats made with the finest whole cuts of turkey, ham, beef, and chicken.

Lorina Since 1895, Three generations of “Maitres Limonadiers” have produced a uniquely French Artisanal Soda. Lorina is carefully crafted using a time-honored secret family recipe. The All-Natural Artisanal Sodas are bottled daily, using only the best ingredients and natural fruit flavors selected from the best origins.

BR Cohn 15 Year Balsamic Vinegar Following a millenium-old tradition, our Balsamic Vinegar of Modena begins with the juice of the Trebbiano grape simmered in copper pots and then aged for 15 years in small oak, cherry, mulberry, chestnut and juniper barrels.

BR Cohn Extra Virgin Olive Oil The quality of any Extra-Virgin olive oil is dependent on several factors including: climate, type of olive, time of harvest, harvesting method, and production process. The nutrient rich soil and prime climate of the Olive Hill Estate at B.R. Cohn Winery caters to these intrinsic factors, contributing to enhancing the quality of the extra virgin Olive Oil from the estate.

BettaSnax biscotti are authentic homemade treats that contain premium and natural ingredients, which are carefully selected to maintain the highest quality. All products are free of preservatives, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, and added fats. Bettasnax are snacks that are ordinary enough to place in a lunchbag, and sophisticated enough to enjoy with a morning latte, cheese and wine, and a creamy gelato.

J.P. Chanet blanc de blanc, sparkling brut. JP Chenet is a French wine brand, produced by Les Grands Chais de France since 1984. The brand could be easily be identified by its curved bottleneck

Snappers Chocolate, Caramel & Pretzel Treats These snacks are the ideal blend of smooth chocolate, creamy caramel, and crunchy pretzel topped with a hint of sea salt.

And now to pamper you…Aveda fans check this out: each seminar attendee will receive a $20 gift card to One Aveda Salon Delray Beach along with an Aveda refreshing bath bar. If you “do” Aveda, you know this is special…if you’re new to Aveda, you’ll be hooked after this gift.

And to add some excitement to your workout routine, and jazz it up a bit, each attendee will receive a one week membership to Barre++ in Boca Raton. Barre ++ offers Aerobarre, a barre method enhanced by yoga swings. With this complimentary trial, there’s no reason not to give it a whirl.
