Fireside Wines: Tintara Reds

In 1876, pioneering winery founder, Thomas Hardy purchased Tintara winery in McLaren Vale, South Australia in order to expand his already successful winemaking business. His vision and passion for winemaking meant that the Tintara name was soon synonymous with outstanding Australian winemaking, as was the region of McLaren Vale. Today Tintara wines remain a testament to Thomas’ quality winemaking, combining age-old methods with new-age techniques.

William Hardy Tintara Shiraz possesses everything you expect from an Australian Shiraz; ripe, dense blueberry, dark cherry and plum combined with chocolate, spice and a hint of sweet vanilla. Firm, chewy tannins, balanced acidity, generous length and warm lingering earthy, chocolate and dark fruit finish. SRP $19

William Hardy Tintara Cabernet Sauvignon displays sweet fruit flavors of dark berries, chocolate, and fine French oak. The finish is long with concentrated flavors and soft tannins. SRP $19
