On Wednesday, January 14th at 7:00 pm. Café Boulud’s Sommelier Mariya Kovacheva will feature “Great Wines of Alsace-Domaine Albert Boxler.” Alsace is a land of idyllic medieval villages nestled among fertile hillsides and is one of the oldest wine districts in France dating back to the Middle Ages. Alsatian wines are reputed to be among the finest in Europe, and many of the region’s most respectable brands are long-established, as is the case with Albert Boxler, which dates back to 1673. This winery perfectly embodies the small French family domaine, where techniques and savoir faire are passed down through the generations.
Boxler is intense and serious about his land, his craft, and his wine, which are some of the finest white wines in Alsace. Boxler specializes in Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc, as well as one of Alsace’s best Crémants and Gewurztraminer.
The four course dinner, which will be prepared by Executive chef Rick Mace and Pastry chef Eric Snow, will feature a selection of Boxler’s signature wines and the menu will reflect a menu inspired by the Alsatian region. Anthony Panone of Florida Wine Company will be the evening’s special guest. Reservations are required to the dinner that costs $95 per person excluding tax and gratuities. For reservations call 561 655 6060. Café Boulud at the Brazilian Court Hotel, 301 Australian Avenue, Palm Beach 33480
