SOUTH FLORIDA LIVE MUSIC: Oakland Park Live Music & Food Trucks on Main Street, March 27th

The City of Oakland Park’s revitalized Downtown Oakland Park Culinary Arts District is hosting a monthly community event, Music & Food Trucks on Main Street. This event series will be held at Oakland Park City Hall. The free community event will host various genres of live music, and interactive lawn games, such as Corn Hole, Jenga, and Ladder Toss; Food for purchase will be available from a variety of food trucks as well as beer, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase from the host bar Big Dog Station. Music on Main Street is from 5:30pm-10pm in front of Oakland Park City Hall on Main Street, the first event will be held on Friday, March 27th. The food trucks in attendance for the March 27th event will be, Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers, Il Fiorentino, Flour Power, Purple People Eatery, Dolci Peccati Gelato, and Mr. Good Stuffs.

In 2005, the City of Oakland Park invested in a renewed dedication to Downtown Oakland Park, with the creation of a Community Redevelopment Area Plan. Over the next several years the City moved forward with the plan and created an infrastructure to support development. To further expand and grow the area as a community destination the city of Oakland Park will host regularly scheduled events “on Main Street” such as, Jazz on Main Street, Art on Main Street, Dining on Main Street and a variety of other events welcoming and encouraging residents, and visitors alike to Downtown Oakland Park Culinary Arts District.
