Cafe Boulud Palm Beach May Wine Dinner: Argentina: Beyond Malbec with Familia Zuccardi

Café Boulud’s Sommelier Mariya Kovacheva’s monthly wine dinner series will play host to  ‘Argentina: Beyond Malbec with Familia Zuccardi’ on Thursday, May 21st.

Founded in 1963 by Engineer Alberto Zuccardi, Familia Zuccardi is one of the most successful and innovative family-run wineries in Argentina. Fifty years after its inception, three generations have since been joined by a passion for wine — the winery is  currently led by Sebastian Zuccardi, a third-generation family winemaker. This winery has been making wines from grapes grown in the Uco Valley in Mendoza, and it’s philosophy has been to explore Argentina´s many micro-climate and soils.  In doing so, Mariya says, Zuccardi makes some of the country’s most exciting wines, placing a renewed emphasis on terroir and balance. “It truly express the essence of the soil, the high altitude vineyards and the extreme conditions where are planted.”

Featured at the four-course tasting dinner will be a selection of the winery’s signature wines. Executive chef Rick Mace and Pastry chef Eric Snow will create a pairing menu. Reservations are required to the dinner that begins at 7PM and costs $85 per person excluding tax and gratuities.  For reservations and information call 561 655 6060
