We have partnered with Ketel One Vodka for the May 13th Farm to Chef Showcase at the Oakland Park Farmers Market. Dianna Greene-Cowan the Ketel One Vodka Regional Brand Ambassador will be taking the audience on a Ketel One cocktail journey that will stimulate the senses. Dianna will demonstrate how to make four of Ketel One’s new spring cocktails, the tasting will begin at 6pm. The event is free and open to the public, 3800 North Dixie Highway, Oakland Park (diagonal from Funky Buddha Brewery). The first cocktail in the lineup we are highlighting is the Ketel One Mexican Mule, ideal for Cinco de Mayo too….the second cocktail is Ketel One Peachy Tea-Ni and the third in the series is Ketel One Spring Fling and the fourth cocktail is Ketel One Oranje Smash
KETEL ONE MEXICAN MULE re-works the classic vodka-lime-ginger original with a sharp and spicy collection of ingredients including fresh cilantro and jalapeño, all built on a solid base of Ketel One Vodka and capped with ginger and orange liqueurs for balance.
1-1/2 ounces Ketel One® Vodka
1/2 ounce Orange Liqueur
1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 ounce Ginger Liqueur
3 ounces Ginger Beer
5 leaves Cilantro
1 seedless Jalapeño Slice
Muddle cilantro and jalapeño in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add Ketel One Vodka, orange liqueur, ginger liqueur and lime juice and shake with ice. Strain into a copper mug or highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with cilantro leaves and a slice of jalapeño.
