Anna de Codorniu Brut NV

Anna de Codorniu Brut NV

Anna de Codorniu Brut NV The Codorníu winery dates back to 1551 and has become recognized for producing some of Spain’s finest wines. The heiress of Codorníu, Anna, married winemaker Miquel Raventós in 1659, but she maintained her surname and became the matriarch of Codorníu. In 1872, Josep Raventós focused on sparkling wine produced authentically, using méthode taditionelle, and thus began the history of Cava. Anna de Codorníu Brut NV is 70% Chardonnay and 30% Parellada. This dry Brut shows off white grapefruit and lemon citrus along with classic toast aromas. Small, persistent bubbles round out this Cava as a pleasing sparkling wine and a great sparkling wine option for the price. SRP $15

Since taking the helm of the Mas family’s centuries-old estate in 2000, his driving mission has been to use only premium quality grapes to craft superior wines with a modern, New World flair. Côté Mas Crémant de Limoux Rosé Brut NV is a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc, and 10% Pinot Noir. This pink wine is delicate with persistent bubbles and sweet scents of honeysuckle, peach and apricot with a soft citrus on palate of pink grapefruit hint of blood orange. An ideal value sparkling wine for the price. SRP $16
