Riverwalk Burger Battle VII To Take Place On May 13, 2016

The Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale Burger Battle™ is returning for its 7th year on Friday, May 13, 2016 to Huizenga Plaza in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. The event will pit 16 South Florida restaurants against each other as they compete for the title of “Best Burger” of 2016. Judges will rate the burgers on texture, flavor, use of condiments, bread selection, and uniqueness. Restaurants will compete for the titles of Fan Favorite, Burger NirvanaBest Bar and GrillBest Knife and Fork BurgerBest Burger Joint, and Best Burger.

The event draws 1000+ patrons to downtown Fort Lauderdale in connection event is rain or shine, attendees must be 21 and older to attend. This is not a pet friendly event.

In the general admission area, restaurant chefs will be serving burgers for tasting and French fries will be offered at the French fry bar. Attendees will receive a chip to vote for a restaurant to win the title of Fan Favorite and will also receive three drink tickets to redeem at bars serving Jack Daniel’s cocktails, Barefoot Wine, and beer. For the price of the VIP ticket, guests will enter the event 30 minutes early, enjoy a seating area, specialty bites provided by Stache, full open bars from Breakthru Beverage and craft beers from Stephens Distributing. The burger eating contest, sponsored by Stephens & Goldwin, P.A., will feature burgers fromBurgerFi.

The 2016 Contenders include: Returning Champ -  Tucker Duke’s Lunchbox, BRGR Stop, Burger Craze, Funky Buddha Brewery, Gulfstream Park, Hard Rock Cafe, the Historic Downtowner Saloon, M.E.A.T. Eatery and Taproom, Shake Shack,Shooters Waterfront, Timpano Italian Chophouse with more restaurants to be announced. Click here to purchase tickets.
