South Florida Food and Wine will be presenting a series of food and beverage seminars at the Coral Gables Food Wine & Spirits Festival held on November 11 & 12, 2016.
This is the first program of its kind for the Coral Gables Food Wine & Spirits Festival and it has been received with open arms from chefs, mixologists, sommeliers, brewmasters, and other food and beverage professionals.
The seminars range in topics and interest from panel discussions, to demos to tastings & pairings. We’ll be covering trendy topics including mixology, craft beers, specialty coffee, and juicing & raw food. All of the seminar presenters are well respected in their niche world of food and beverage, and I’m over the moon that each person has taken their topic and is running with it as they see fit. So while I know what the seminars are, and who will be presenting I have no idea what exactly they’ll be doing during those 60 minutes, other than entertaining and educating you; and that’s the excitement and interest of it all. However, what I can tell you in true South Florida Food and Wine fashion each seminar includes eating and drinking. So whether you purchase an individual ticket or a series of tickets, I promise you, it’ll be money well spent.
As I am curating and managing eight seminars back to back, I did find time in all this hoopla to schedule myself to moderate the first ever, South Florida all female chef panel. I’ve been wanting to put a girl-power event together since my In-the-Spotlight Interviews back in 2012. Like they say, timing is everything, so after four years of keeping this on the back burner, I’m here to tell you I’m crazy excited for this panel discussion with some of the hottest female chefs in South Florida.
