Celebrate Literacy: Volunteers Needed for Broward Reads for the Record

Celebrate literacy by participating in the largest shared reading experience! Jumpstart’s Read for the Record® campaign mobilizes millions of children and adults to celebrate literacy by participating in the largest shared reading experience.

Locally, the Children’s Services Council of Broward County and Broward County Public Schools are coordinating Broward Reads for the Record.  On October 27 between 8:00 AM and 12 noon, volunteers are needed at area child care centers and elementary schools to read “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich,” to 40,000 students in Broward County.
