Ketel One Summer Cocktails

In partnership with the Oakland Park Community Redevelopment Agency, South Florida Food and Wine hosted a series of pairing events from January through May. For our final Culinary Arts Showcase of the season we highlighted a four course culinary demo by Cucina Caruso and three cocktail pairings by Ketel One vodka and one Bulleit bourbon cocktail . The cocktail presentation was a demonstration on how to make the cocktail, and to pair each with a food course.

Ketel One Tomatini

Ketel One Tomatini

2 oz Ketel One Vodka
1 Fresh cherry tomato
½ oz White Balsamic Vinegar
½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/3 oz Simple Syrup
1 pinch black pepper
Muddle tomato and ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass rimmed with pepper. Garnish with a cherry tomato.

Ketel One Basil Cooler

Ketel One Basil Cooler

Basil Cooler
1.5 oz oz Ketel One Citroen
.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
3 basil Leaves
1 oz Basil Sryup
2 oz Fever Tree Club Soda
Add everything except Club Soda into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a lime wheel and basil sprig.

1.25 oz Ketel One Oranje
.75 oz Aperol
.5 oz Fresh Orange Juice
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Simple Syrup
3-4 dashes Rhubarb Bitters
Fever Tree Club Soda
Shake all ingredients except club soda. Strain over ice in a high ball. Top with Club soda and garnish with an orange twist


Bulleit and Ginger

Bulleit and Ginger

Bulleit and Ginger
1.5 oz Bulleit Bourbon
3 oz Ginger Ale
2 dashes angostura bitters
Build in a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lime.
