Niven Family Wine Estates: Baileyana

Niven Family Wine Estates is a family wine company in the truest sense. Family patriarch, Jack Niven, pioneered wine grape planting in the Edna Valley in the early 1970s, and today, his children and grandchildren are carrying on his legacy. Niven Family Wine Estates makes a variety of wines, each brand is made in its own focused style showcasing the diverse style of California’s Edna Valley.

Baileyana was created by Niven Family Wine Estates matriarch, Catharine Niven over 30 years ago, Baileyana is the expression of the classic cool climate varieties grown on the estate.

  • 2015 Baileyana “Firepeak” Chardonnay - SRP <$30. Firepeak Chardonnay leads with bright flavors of crisp apple, pear and pineapple. Aromas of citrus and tropical flavors highlight the complexity of flavors that run throughout. Great acid structure and minerality create a beautifully textured and balanced wine.
  • 2015 Baileyana “Firepeak” Pinot Noir – SRP <$35.00. Classic Pinot Noir aromas showoff with bright cherry, blackberry, and hints of spice which emanate from the glass. Flavors of dark fruit, blueberry, mocha along with soft tannins create an enjoyable finish.
  • 2016 Rosé of Pinot Noir SRP <$25. This wine shines with white peach, strawberry and melon kissed with hints of rose petal and red raspberry. The bright acidity creates a freshness that makes this an ideal summer wine
