Elouan Rosé

Elouan, the result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, one of the world’s renowned Pinot Noir regions. The goal is to produce Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. Elouan is a blend of fruit from three regions along Oregon’s coast: Willamette, Umpqua and Rogue Valleys, which harmonize when blended together. The diversity of these cool climate areas combined with an elongated growing season creates wine with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that differentiates it from Pinot Noirs from other regions. The name Elouan means “good light”, which is reflective of the typically cool summers, yet abundant sunshine found in this northern hemisphere wine growing region. The unique climate, diversity of soil types and the gentle sunlight influence on both canopy and fruit, form the foundation of this wine’s northern character.

Joseph Wagner is a fifth generation Napa Valley winemaker with a dedicated passion for the business. His passion and natural talent for winemaking quickly became apparent after he started his own award-winning single vineyard Pinot Noir label, Belle Glos. In January 2014, Joe formed Copper Cane Wine & Provisions, with the goal of focusing on innovations that have always captured his interest, and to find new ways to offer the highest quality products that satisfy consumers’ appetites for genuine craftsmanship. Elouan is a result of that vision: Oregon Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy, suppleness and sense of place.

Elouan Rosé, just like its big sister Pinot Noir brings together fruit from three regions along Oregon’s Coast: Willamette, Umpqua, and Rogue Valleys, however, the majority of the fruit comes from the warmest of the three valleys, Rogue.  This rosé wine is made from grapes that were grown and harvested with the specific intention of making rosé wine; and not a saignée rosé (a method of rosé production that involves removing the juice early so it has limited contact with the skins). Elouan Rosé SRP <$20
