Common Threads Cooking For Life Festival Miami

Common Threads Cooking for Life Festival Miami will feature a group of the country’s celebrity chefs, all to support the Common Threads mission of empowering children and families to cook for life. Common Threads supports any initiative that celebrates the importance of cooking and eating good food, while raising awareness about how wholesome food can positively impact our health and happiness.

The weekend’s events include: 

Culinary Boot Camp Schedule*: 
9:30 – 10:30 am                  Dena Marino: Fresh-pulled mozzarella and vine-ripened tomatoes demo class
10:40 – 11:40 am                Todd Erickson: Lamb tacos hands-on class
11:50 am – 12:50 pm           Linda Gassenheimer: Diabetes-friendly demo class
1:00 – 2:00 pm                    Mid-Day Reception
Includes a panel discussion with Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho, bites provided by BunnieCakes, Richard Ingraham and Common Threads Small Threads
2:15 – 3:15 pm                    Richard Ingraham: Jazzed up shrimp and grits hands-on class
3:25 – 4:25 pm                    Timon Balloo: Moroccan-spiced turkey meatballs demo class

TICKET PRICING:
Demo Class = $45
Hands-On Class = $60
Half Day Pass (AM or PM) = $150
Full Day Pass = $250

SUNRISE BEACH YOGA
All participants will walk away with goodies from Athleta and Lifeway Foods and ZICO! There is a suggested $20 donation for the class. Sunday, April 19, Private beach at the Thompson Miami Beach 4041 Collins Avenue, Miami, FL 33140 Beach Yoga: 8:00 – 9:00 AM

BEACH SIDE BRUNCH
Some of the country’s well-known and talented chefs will be traveling to Miami to support Common Threads and cook their favorite brunch dishes. All guests will dine on the culinary creations from host Michelle Bernstein along with Eileen Adrande, John Besh, Stephanie Izard, and Fabio Viviani; along with local chefs Justin Flit, Diego Oka, and Jamie DeRosa.
