Events at The Wynwood Yard, Wynwood Miami

January brings a new line-up of events at The Wynwood Yard, a 10-month pop-up, of food and culture in Miami. The food yard, events-and-live-music venue and all-day hangout space brings locals an offering of food, fitness, music and other cultural activities. Some highlights are

DRUNKEN CRAFTS  |   bimonthly, next event Wednesday, January 27th at 7 p.m. This bimonthly gathering of makers and crafters, for the curious beginner or the hobbyist, launched Wednesday, January 13th. Street artist Dave L taught water color and doodles.  At the next Drunken Crafts on January 27th, learn to crochet totes, crowns, and bracelets using re-purposed t-shirts with Snip Tease, while enjoying $7 cocktails, $5 draft beer and wine and $3 PBRs.

SKILLS  |  every other Saturday, next event on Saturday, February 6th  from 4 to 5:30 p.m.  | $20. A hands-on culinary skills and kitchen lab for kids aged 7 and up explores ingredients and reinforces math, reading and science with sessions like Wake & Waffle: Sweet and Savory, or Lettuce Wraps. Parents can watch or kick back with a beer or cocktail at The Wynwood Yard’s full bar.

HARVEST WEDNESDAYS | every other Wednesday, first event January 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. | $35. Muriel Olivares, the farmer behind Little River Cooperative, starts the evening in The Wynwood Yard garden with a chat about what’s in season at the garden. She’ll offer growing tips and answer questions from new or veteran gardeners.  Julie Frans, Della Test Kitchen chef and Slow Food Miami vice president will lead a chef demo and tasting, using the ingredients harvested from the garden.  Guests can then savor their special harvest bowls, along with drink specials from the bar.

SOUND OFF SILENT DISCO | every other Saturday, next event January 30th from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. |  $5 pre-sale, $10 at the door. The Wynwood Yard will take the popular Silent Disco party to new heights! Guests wearing glow-in-the-dark headphones can choose their jams from hip hop, R & B, EDM, Latin and Top 40 tracks played by three DJs simultaneously.

SINGER/SONGWRITER COLLECTION |  most Saturdays, next event January 30th from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Escape the pounding bass and weekend traffic for a low-key jam session at Singer/Songwriter Collection. Support the burgeoning local music scene, lounge with some cocktails and food and savor a magically charming set by a new singer/songwriter each week.

Thyme, the full bar at The Wynwood Yard will be open for all events and serving house favorite, garden-influenced cocktails. Daily happy hour at The Wynwood Yard is 5 to 7 p.m. every day, with cocktails for $8, draft beers from brewers such as JW Wakefield, Bells and Sixpoint for $5 and PBR for $3. Food concepts at The Wynwood Yard include Della Test Kitchen, offering plant-based “healthy bowls of happy,” the omakase sushi food truck, Myumi, Middle Eastern concept The Arabian Knifeand Dim Ssam a gogo, the innovative Asian fusion food truck from the folks behind Sakaya Kitchen. The Wynwood Yard is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday, as well as late nights on Friday and Saturday.

Located at 56 NW 29th St. in the heart of Wynwood, Miami. The Wynwood Yard is open noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday.-Thursday.; noon to 3 a.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
